APTIM Federal Services is seeking a Sr. Level Environmental Geologist to support growth within our Remediation business line. The ideal candidate is a credentialed geologist or hydrogeologist with experience in characterization and remediation projects in a senior technical role. Responsibilities include planning and executing remedial investigations, actions, and optimizing remedies, as well as preparing proposals, overseeing staff, and completing CERCLA reports. Effective communication with team members, clients, and regulators is essential. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude are required. This position is based in Concord, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise to enhance project and proposal quality, safety, and effectiveness.
• Characterize geologic conditions, hydrology, and contaminants to evaluate risks and inform remedial design.
• Design and conduct hydrologic testing to assess groundwater and contaminant transport.
• Support project planning and execution in compliance with regulations.
• Communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate within teams.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 10-15 years of environmental experience.
• Licensed Professional Geologist preferred, ideally in California.
• Experience with DoD and CERCLA projects.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with current refresher preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
