Position Summary:

T-Mobile is America’s leading Un-carrier, delivering a reliable 4G LTE and nationwide 5G network. The Sr. Engineer, Software, based in Bellevue, WA, will research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

Telecommuting is permitted, but the applicant must work from the Bellevue, WA location at least 3-4 days per week. No additional travel is anticipated.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Analyzing user needs and developing software solutions using principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematics.
2. Understanding system protocols, operations, and data flows.
3. Developing full software stacks and understanding T-Mobile’s building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools.
4. Interacting with architects and engineers to define requirements.
5. Driving engineering projects, conducting tests, and preparing reports.
6. Contributing to design and frameworks to improve systems and processes.
7. Applying industry perspectives to our business models and process reviews.
8. Collaborating with technical teams to deliver solutions.
9. Maintaining and documenting technology systems and designs.
10. Translating business requirements into technical backlog in partnership with the Product Owner.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience and Education:

• Master's degree in Computer or Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field, with 3 years of relevant experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in the same fields, with 5 years of relevant experience.

Skills:

• Experience developing full stack applications with Angular, JavaScript, Typescript, Spring Boot, Java (J2EE), or C#.
• Utilizing Web, SOAP, REST, XML services for enterprise integration.
• Designing multi-tiered web applications using Agile methodologies.
• Monitoring using tools like Splunk, Grafana, Webhooks.
• Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud, CI/CD tools, Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket.

• Work hours: 40 hours/week
• Salary: $190,486 to $199,900 per year
