Senior Software Engineer II - GenAI (Frontend)

We are looking for passionate individuals who can simplify complex concepts and create accessible user experiences. We aim to build and expand our GenAI platform to solve customer problems end-to-end, focusing on making GenAI solutions accessible to developers.

The GenAI team develops tools for creating AI Agents to address real-world problems. We are a fast-paced team building the next generation of AI/ML workflows on DigitalOcean.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drive large cross-functional projects independently to completion
• Work primarily in Typescript, React, GraphQL
• Build UI components, libraries, tools, and services that power the platform
• Collaborate on design and UX
• Support operational excellence
• Ship product features from planning to launch independently
• Collaborate with engineers to find elegant architectures and solutions

What You’ll Add To DigitalOcean

• Own technical areas and provide leadership within teams
• Interest in development platforms, Agentic AI, CI/CD, infrastructure, and tools for developers
• Make effective trade-offs balancing engineering and product needs
• Influence product roadmap and prioritization with strong product thinking
• Build reliable, scalable products with operational excellence
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience with UI component libraries, design systems, and TypeScript
• Design and UX sensibilities
• Knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs
