Position Overview

Under the direction of the Technical Supervisor, this role is responsible for operating custom test equipment and supporting R&D and NPD activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct complex mechanical tests using various electrical and mechanical test equipment
• Ensure thoroughness, timeliness, and accuracy of work
• Train, oversee, and monitor technicians
• Follow work instructions and test procedures
• Prepare reports using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, databases, spreadsheets, and statistical software
• Perform hands-on testing with power tools and accessories
• Maintain and repair test equipment
• Understand machine components and assembly
• Contribute to testing process improvements and automation
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures
• Multi-task efficiently while maintaining organization
• Assist in designing, developing, and testing electro-mechanical systems
• Support organizational goals
• Adhere to safety procedures
• Manage laboratory supplies and equipment

Qualifications

• Technical associate degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience in test equipment
• Knowledge of electronics, AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, pneumatics, and controllers
• Basic CAD skills; Siemens NX or Solidworks a plus
• Understanding of product testing concepts
• Proficiency in PC hardware/software; programming in LabVIEW, Visual Basic, PLC
• Experience with 6S methodology is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
