Job summary

Engg is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a remote-first, cross-functional SDET team focused on quality and reliability across Cribl products. You will own the quality strategy, drive data-driven prioritization, and guide testing from design to release with agentic workflows.

You will champion test architecture, automation, CI/CD, observability, and RCA, while mentoring a high-performing team and collaborating with product and engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in establishing testing strategy and defining quality metrics.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and agentic development changes.
• Knowledge of test architecture, automation, CI/CD, observability, release management, and RCA.
• Experience with AI-developed tests and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality strategy across Cribl products and communicate metrics for data-driven prioritization of the team's roadmap.
• Lead continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, root-cause analysis, and escape-rate reduction.
• Continuously optimize end to end pipelines for quality and velocity, removing bottlenecks for people and agentic workflows.
• Foster a customer-first mindset by running failure analysis to close the testing gap with customer deployments.
• Establish strong partnership with product management and engineering to implement quality standards from the start.
• Coach, mentor, and grow a remote-first team of exceptional test engineers focusing on agentic workflows.
• This position may include stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.

This is a hands-on leadership role in ensuring that quality is built-in from the start of the software development lifecycle, implementing test strategy from design to release with agentic workflows. You'll play a key role in driving engineering excellence, delivering high-quality products to our customers.

• Hands-on experience in establishing testing strategy and defining quality metrics for products that will be deployed in both SaaS as well as customer managed environments
• Thorough understanding of the SDLC and the changes required for agentic development
• Strong understanding of test architecture, automation, CI/CD, observability, release management, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with AI-developed tests and workflows
• BS CS/EE or equivalent practical experience with 10+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role
