Job summary

Hidden Jobs is seeking a hands-on Lead Software Engineer in Test hybrid role to drive automation strategy across the software delivery lifecycle. You will turn acceptance criteria into robust automated suites that ship continuously through CI/CD.

You will lead automation initiatives, author scripts for new and existing tests, and collaborate with product owners and automation engineers to align scope and delivery. Strong leadership and a deep programming background are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of software development with proven technical and team leadership.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and adaptive AI for test automation.
• Strong programming background in Java, JavaScript, or Python, plus tools such as Rest Assured, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, and JUnit.
• Familiarity with source control in Git, Azure DevOps, Elastic/Kibana, and application performance monitoring.
• Solid experience in test planning, scenario and test case design, and Behavior-Driven Development practices.

• Translate acceptance criteria into technical test design documents and build automation scripts wired into the existing test framework and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead automation initiatives end-to-end, authoring scripts for new and existing test cases and integrating them with the broader automation architecture.
• Partner with cross-functional product owners and automation engineers to align scope, priorities, and delivery expectations.
• Report progress to project and engineering leadership, keeping work on schedule across the team.
• Validate functional requirements and business process flows in test and UAT environments, following established quality assurance standards and procedures.
