ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr. Program Manager - Product Safety/Regulatory is a key member of the Product Safety Team within Peloton’s Quality & Safety organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Technical Product Safety, this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Peloton’s product safety policies. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in planning, identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and executing improvements positively and constructively. Strong organizational skills, the ability to translate business requirements into workflows, and strategic prioritization are essential.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Represent the Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance team to promote a “Member safety first” mindset across the company.
- Lead Product Safety reviews for New Product Introductions (NPI) and ongoing changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address potential robustness issues, lead investigations, and drive continuous improvements impacting product safety and robustness.
- Develop test procedures and design guides for new and existing products as needed.
- Manage regulatory compliance and certification activities with the regional compliance team.
- Participate in industry standard development activities (e.g., ASTM, UL).
- Drive continuous product and process improvements for a safe member experience.
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Over 7 years of experience in a product safety and regulatory role, preferably in consumer goods or fitness equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards such as UL60335, ASTM, IEC, and experience with third-party certification processes.
- Familiarity with chemical and material toxicity regulations and compliance processes.
- Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce, and data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau.
- Knowledge of CPSC regulatory principles, including voluntary recall activities.
- Experience with product investigation and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Proficiency with design and quality tools like DFMEA, PFMEA, Minitab, Weibull.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for clear updates and guidance to teams.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, self-starting environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
- Availability to work from the Linden, NJ facility up to 2 days per week.
