The Role

This position involves tasks such as site surveys, Bill of Material (BoM) development, engineering, installation, troubleshooting, and test & turn-up for ISP and OSP projects. Support deployment of Long-Haul Optical Transport Networks, LAN/WAN installations, equipment evaluation, network upgrades, and system design changes. 50% travel required.

Collaborate with the program team to implement and maintain operational network requirements. Generate estimates for Installation Ready Materials (IRM) and project BoM. Assist in developing project schedules. Provide guidance, supervision, training, and quality assurance to less experienced Field Engineers. Offer remote troubleshooting support during installation and operational phases. Conduct site surveys, review and modify Engineering Design Packages (EDP), analyze installation discrepancies, coordinate with subcontractors, and plan for future projects. Engage with customers for project implementation and upgrades, and ensure timely project completion with Field Operations Personnel.

The Main Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI clearance.
• Travel at least 50%.
• Experience in ISP installation and troubleshooting telecom systems.
• Review and redline documentation.
• Manage material movement and assets.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Associate’s degree with five years’ experience or bachelor’s degree with two years’ experience; experience can substitute for education.
• Experience with installation and testing of WAN/LAN circuits.
• Knowledge of Optical Power Meter, OTDR, and test equipment.
• Understanding of AC/DC Power and Grounding (preferred).
• Experience with electrical testing tools.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
