Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 5 years in firmware roles (Firmware Engineer, Architect, Software Analyst or related).
  • Skills: C/C++ programming, microcontroller bring-up, serial interfaces, stakeholder communication, test case creation, CAN/Vehicle Serial Bus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement firmware solutions to meet business needs.
  • Create new designs using existing technologies and socialize with team.

The Chamberlain Group, LLC seeks a Sr. Engineer, 2 Firmware to: Design, develop, and implement application level firmware solutions to meet business need. Create new designs using existing technologies. Socialize expertise and train developers as needed. Create new designs of moderate complexity with new technology; support platform design. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve firmware defects as found during bench, lab, and production QA testing. Provide peer review by soliciting feedback on firmware, hardware, and connected software designs, implementation, and test. Work with stakeholders to understand functional requirements of systems to accurately develop designs, implementations, and test cases. Support new development processes and best practices per alignment with department goals. Work across business units with hardware and firmware developers to create designs modular across platforms. Supervise small groups of developers to prioritize work, manage risk, and drive deliverables. maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed. Generate detailed project plans for small teams of developers, manage Gantt charts, and Scrum backlog. Lead Agile initiatives around training, project planning, and tracking. Minimum Job Requirements

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent degree accepted)

Experience Required: 5 years of experience in the Job offered, Firmware Engineer or Architect, Software Analyst, Software Programmer or related

JOB SITE: 300 Windsor Dr, Oak Brook, IL 60523 (telecommuting allowed). Travel required up to 10% domestic and international to unanticipated locations/customer sites.

WORK HOURS: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 5 days 40 hr/wk

SALARY: $165,693 per year
