Job summary

Lifespan Incorporated in Dobson, NC seeks a Senior Employment Specialist to build relationships with local employers and secure job placements for individuals with disabilities. The role provides training, mentoring, and ongoing support to a team of Employment Specialists.

You will work on-site with a dedicated team, coordinating intakes, transportation, and job instruction to ensure placements align with individual needs and abilities. A compassionate, reliable approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Must pass background and healthcare registry checks.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and to meet transportation-related requirements if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Market to prospective employers to secure job placements for individuals with disabilities.
• Complete intakes regularly and maintain accurate records.
• Transport individuals to and from locations in a safe vehicle.
• Mentor individuals to develop social skills and relationships.
• Facilitate onsite job instruction to place individuals in appropriate roles.
• Provide follow-along support and guidance to participants.
• Submit accurate billing weekly by deadlines.
• Complete training and participate in staff development activities.
• Meet quarterly revenue objectives.
• Administer medications when required and with nursing support.

Training is provided. Nursing team supports you.Provide transportation to and from designated sites.What you need:Must be at least 18 years of agePass criminal record and healthcare registry checkPass driving record check if providing transportationHigh school graduate or equivalent (GED). Two years of experience in working with individuals with disabilities or related experience is required.Commitment to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesNote: Current First Aid/CPR blended or classroom certification is required. If you do not currently have certification from an approved provider, our American Red Cross certified instructors will provide you the training.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently (per policy)Willingness and ability to work flexible hours including nights.
