POSITION: Sr. Embedded Electrical Engineer (High-Speed Hardware)

LOCATION: Scottsdale, AZ 85255 (Onsite, Mon-Fri)

PAY RANGE: $70.00 - $74.00 per hour

DURATION: 6-Month Contract-To-Hire

SUMMARY

A leading high growth technology and manufacturing organization in North Scottsdale is seeking a Senior Embedded Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of embedded, video-enabled, mobile and wearable electronic platforms. This role focuses on high-speed digital and mixed-signal subsystems supporting camera, memory, processing, and wireless connectivity in compact, low-power, battery-operated devices. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience designing, debugging, and validating high‑bandwidth interfaces on space‑constrained hardware platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to the design and development of high‑speed digital and mixed‑signal hardware for mobile and wearable products.
  • Design and maintain schematics for processor‑centric embedded systems including LPDDR/DDR memory, MIPI CSI/DSI, USB 2.0/3.x, power management, sensors, and wireless interfaces.
  • Partner with PCB layout engineers on controlled impedance routing, differential pairs, length matching, and stack‑up constraints.
  • Support board bring‑up, validation, and debug of high‑speed interfaces using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Assist with signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.
  • Support integration and validation of camera, sensor, RF, and wireless subsystems.
  • Analyze test data and document findings for cross‑functional teams.
  • Create and maintain BOMs and design documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and process improvement initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3–5+ years of embedded hardware or electrical engineering experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with high‑speed subsystems such as DDR/LPDDR, MIPI CSI/DSI, USB.
  • Exposure to PCB layout reviews including differential routing and timing constraints.
  • Experience with board bring‑up and validation.
  • Familiarity with portable, battery‑powered electronics.
  • Working knowledge of schematic capture tools such as OrCAD.
  • Exposure to EMI/EMC and regulatory compliance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Camera and video pipeline experience.
  • Signal or power integrity analysis exposure.
  • USB‑C or high‑speed PHY experience.
  • Mobile, wearable, or consumer electronics development background.
  • LTE or advanced wireless testing experience.
  • Experience with dense, compact PCB designs.
Compensation

$70.00 - $74.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment.
