Job summary

SearchWorks, LLC seeks a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead complex electrical projects from conception to commissioning. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to build and lead a team as the business grows into new markets.

You will coordinate electrical systems, manage budgets and schedules, and drive safety and compliance across projects, including data centers and industrial facilities, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 7–10+ years in electrical construction or industrial project management.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting controls, and low-voltage cabling.

Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle from conception through commissioning.
• Coordinate complex electrical systems including lighting and power distribution.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and procurement using Excel or ProNovos.
• Lead technical coordination across field personnel, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure safety and compliance with NEC/CEC/OSHA codes on every project.

Job description

Our client, a rapidly growing electrical construction firm serving commercial, industrial, and mission-critical markets, is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join their leadership team. This is a high-visibility role for a builder who wants to grow into a leadership track. The position reports directly to the Vice President, with the opportunity to build and lead a team of direct reports as the business expands into new territories and markets.

What You'll Do

• Own the full project lifecycle, from conception, design, and procurement through installation, testing, and commissioning
• Coordinate complex electrical systems including lighting, power distribution boards, power monitoring, and low-voltage systems (security, fire alarm, IT/data networks)
• Manage budgets and schedules, including labor hours, material procurement, and detailed project schedules using MS Excel or ProNovos
• Lead technical coordination across field personnel, electrical engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure full compliance with applicable codes and specifications
• Champion safety and compliance with CEC, NEC, local code, and OSHA standards on every project

Project Types

• Commercial, industrial, and manufacturing builds: new power distribution, lighting, life safety, low-voltage, and control systems
• Data center and mission-critical projects: power distribution, backup power and generator systems, UPS, lighting, low-voltage cabling, and security systems

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 7 to 10+ years in electrical construction or industrial project management
• Strong command of power distribution, lighting controls, and low-voltage cabling
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and construction management software
• A track record of leading in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, with the relationship-building skills to work seamlessly across clients, partners, and internal teams
• Base salary: $150,000 to $185,000, commensurate with experience
