Genie Matthews and Associates in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Sr. Electrical Estimator to support large-scale industrial EPC and data center construction. Fully onsite, standard workweek with nationwide opportunities.

You will prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates, review drawings, and collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop accurate, competitive bids. Data center experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Electrical construction estimating experience in industrial, commercial, EPC, or mission-critical projects.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, and subcontractor bid evaluations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam, McCormick, Accubid or similar estimating software preferred.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work independently.

Responsibilities

Sr. Electrical Estimator – Industrial EPC & Data Center Construction

Location: Houston, TX

Fully onsite. 40-45 hours week M - F.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support a growing portfolio of large-scale construction projects, primarily within the rapidly expanding data center market. Additional projects span the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, and other heavy industrial sectors.

This position offers the opportunity to work on complex electrical construction projects nationwide, collaborating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop accurate and competitive estimates.

Prior data center experience is not required. We are interested in electrical estimators with strong technical construction backgrounds who can bring their expertise to this growing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, not required.

• Data center construction experience is a plus, not required.

• Ability to work independently and travel nationwide as needed.
