Job Description

• Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates for complex projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships to obtain optimal pricing and performance.
• Evaluate technical data, cost trends, and risk assessments to support strategic decisions.
• Supervise and mentor junior estimators and assist in team development.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and executive leadership to align on scope and cost objectives.
• Present estimates and proposals to clients and internal stakeholders with professionalism and clarity.
• Conduct site visits and consultations as required for pre-construction assessments.
• Ensure estimates comply with current industry regulations and standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation to support audit and compliance processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in electrical estimating or a senior construction role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with national electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, etc.).
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing junior staff.
• Deep understanding of electrical systems, installation techniques, and cost analysis.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening, with travel as needed.
