Yoh Staffing is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer for an on-site contract in Austin, TX. The role pays $50–$59 per hour and requires deep electrical engineering expertise with panel and wiring design experience.

The position involves designing electrical assemblies, debugging complex issues, and interfacing with global teams to develop subsystems for semiconductor equipment. On-site work with a strong emphasis on standards compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of experience.
• Experience in electrical panel design, cable and harness design using CAD tools (AutoCAD, E-plan, Zuken E3S).
• Knowledge of switchgear and auxiliary components selection.
• Understanding of controller-based automation (Digital I/O & Analog I/O) and field instrumentation.
• Familiarity with IEC & NEMA standards; SEMI S2 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design or modify electrical/electronic assemblies, layouts, and drawings for complex scope.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical problems with limited supervision.
• Lead or execute projects and coordinate suppliers.
• Develop and review electrical product specifications and documentation.
• Collaborate with global teams for subsystem design in semiconductor equipment.

Sr. Electrical Engineer (ONSITE) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Staffing’s client working in Austin, TX.

• Pay Rate: $50-59/hr
• ONSITE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scope
• Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervision
• Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports with limited supervision
• Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope with limited supervision
• Technically lead and/or executes engineering projects, including development of key suppliers
• Implements concepts for variety of complex product issues and electrical solutions of difficult scope
• Generate electrical product specifications
• Specify and review engineering documentation
• Work with global teams to design sub systems / systems of process chambers used in semiconductor equipment industry.
• Provide solution to a variety of engineering problems involving Control Panel Design, Cable Harness Design & Cable Routing.
• Design & Drafting of cable harness, control panel using CAD tools (Zuken E3S, ACAD).
• Conceptualize the solutions for product issues, improvements and implement solutions.
• Interface with internal and external customers regarding electrical issues for specific project.
• Designs and analyzes electrical systems, equipment and packaging.
• Implementation of concepts for variety of product issues and electrical solutions.

Required:

• BS / B.E / B.Tech/ MS/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years
• Sound knowledge in basics of electrical and electronics engineering.
• Experience in electrical panel design, cable and harness design using any AutoCAD/ E-plan /Zuken E3S or any other tool.
• Switchgear and auxiliary components selection.
• Calculate load ampere requirements and select proper cables as per standards.
• Understanding of controller-based automation like Digital I/O & Analog I/O.
• Hands on experience in field instrumentation and knowledge about different sensors/ measurement methods.
• Aware of Industrial communication protocols such as Device Net, Ethernet & Ether CAT.
• Good understanding of IEC & NEMA standards and implement in design. Knowledge on SEMI S2 Standards is an added advantage.
• Experience in semiconductor will be added advantage.
