Job summary

M3 Engineering & Technology seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to support daily project management, interface with clients, and guide designers and production staff in creating on-time, quality electrical deliverables.

The role covers conceptual and detailed designs, NEC compliance, feasibility studies, budget adherence, and coordination with procurement and construction teams. Travel may be required to project sites and other M3 offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with an EIT.
• Experience with electrical conceptual and detailed designs.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit and MS Office.
• Experience with electrical power distribution, grounding, motor control, lighting, and fire alarm is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Position Summary: Supports daily electrical project management, client interface, and provides direction to electrical engineers, designers, and production staff on the production of on time and quality controlled project specific electrical deliverables.

Basic Duties

• Candidate will support daily electrical project management, interface with clients and direct designers in the development of electrical construction drawings, documents and project deliverables.
• Electrical conceptual and detailed designs, methods and materials specifications, electrical equipment application.
• NEC compliance, building code compliance, feasibility studies, adherence to budgets and schedules, cost estimating, field survey, construction administration
• Support of procurement and construction activities.
• Position will work under the direction of senior engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years progressive experience is required.
• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, or related field, with an EIT.
• Experience with electrical conceptual designs, methods and materials specifications.
• Working knowledge and experience using AutoCad, and 3D modeling software such as Inventor, and or Revit, and MS office.
• proficiency with electrical analysis software such as SKM Power Tools or ETAP
• Previous experience with electrical power distribution, grounding, motor control, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems is preferred.
• Candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
• Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
• Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
• Valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.

• PE
• Experience with industrial /mining power distribution and building systems, motor controls, control systems and grounding.
• Previous mining experience
• Bilingual English / Spanish abilities
• Experience working on multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
