Job summary

M3 Engineering & Technology in Tucson, AZ seeks an Electrical CAD Designer to assist in designing and developing electrical construction drawings. You will support senior engineers by producing accurate deliverables and ensuring compliance with client and project needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with multiple departments and drafting electrical layouts using AutoCAD and Revit for industrial and commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• 1 year related experience required.
• Associates degree in CAD or related field.
• Experience with electrical conceptual designs, methods and materials specifications.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office.
• Candidate must be able to travel domestically & internationally to other M3 offices and project sites.
• Must be able to work in a project team with limited supervision and maintain schedules.
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one; pass background check.

Position Summary:

This position will assist in the design and development of electrical construction drawings and production of electrical deliverables. This position will work under the direction of senior engineers to generate accurate and complete documents per client and project needs.

Basic Duties:

• Will coordinate and interact with other departments, disciplines and design teams to fulfill production requirements and project goals.
• Will use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare and draft electrical drawings such as single line diagrams, grounding, lighting, panel schedules, schematics, power and controls plans for industrial and commercial facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year related experience is required.
• Associates degree in computer aided drafting, or related field.
• Experience with electrical conceptual designs, methods and materials specifications.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office
• Candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
• Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
• Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
• Valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
• Pass the background check.

• Experience with drafting electrical drawings for industrial /mining power distribution and commercial facilities
