$65.00/hr - $73.00/hr
Work Location & Schedule
- On-site required, but flexible depending on transition and training.

Experience Requirements
- Senior Electrical Engineer
- Minimum 7+ years of electrical engineering experience.
- Strong background in test engineering, test development, and practical hands-on work.
- Medical device experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Support the client in Austin, TX site as an electrical engineer for components, devices, systems, software and test system for commercial products, product enhancements and new product development.
- Perform electrical design activities including, but not limited to, component selection, circuit design/simulation, prototype evaluation, unit-level testing, lifecycle testing, system integration testing, drawing/document creation and modification, and execution of Engineering Change Orders within SAP for hardware, firmware, and embedded software components.
- Continuously improving quality by addressing manufacturing and field non-conformities through troubleshooting and root cause analysis with the use of electrical test equipment and custom test sets.
Skills/Attributes
- Strong electrical design skills with schematic and engineering analysis capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills including maintaining thorough and accurate engineering documentation required for medical devices and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of engineering and management.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional internal and external teammates in the mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service organizations.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented to produce high quality results in a timely fashion.
- Understanding of electronic assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes with experience collaborating with contract manufacturing suppliers for new product introduction (NPI).
- Knowledge of best practices for design for manufacturing, serviceability, and reliability.
- Familiarity with electronic product development in a highly regulated environment.
Requirements for success in this role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the design and manufacturing of custom electrical assemblies. Medical device experience is a plus.
- Proven track record of contribution to multiple products, projects, and processes taken from concept to fruition.
