Overview

Electrical Hardware Engineer (Circuit Board builds) – USC only. Senior Electrical Engineer who supports both R&D and manufacturing. Products supported include Intelliblade (microwave ablation) and cryotherapy systems for cancer treatment.

Details

Base pay range: $68.00/hr - $73.40/hr

Pay Rate: $68 to $73.40/HR

Duration: 12 months

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Employment type: Contract

Responsibilities
  • Support for components, devices, systems, software, and test systems for commercial products, product enhancements, and new product development.
  • Perform electrical design activities, including component selection, circuit design/simulation, prototype evaluation, unit-level testing, lifecycle testing, system integration testing, drawing/document creation and modification, and execution of Engineering Change Orders within SAP for hardware, firmware, and embedded software components.
  • Continuously improve quality by addressing manufacturing and field non-conformities through troubleshooting and root cause analysis with electrical test equipment and custom test sets.
Skills/Attributes
  • Strong electrical design skills with schematic and engineering analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills, including maintaining thorough and accurate engineering documentation required for medical devices and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of engineering and management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional internal and external teammates in mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service organizations.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented to produce high-quality results in a timely fashion.
  • Understanding of electronic assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes with experience collaborating with contract manufacturing suppliers for new product introduction (NPI).
  • Knowledge of best practices for design for manufacturing, serviceability, and reliability.
  • Familiarity with electronic product development in a highly regulated environment.
