Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking a strategic planning professional to support divisional strategy development, identify tools to assess opportunities, and deliver end-to-end report development across internal business, technical and analytical teams.

You will help govern evaluation of strategies, interact with multiple departments, and drive insights that influence healthcare market initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 5 years in strategic planning, market research or related field in healthcare or consulting.
• Advanced degree preferred with experience in healthcare industry and strategic initiatives.
• Experience managing complex projects in matrixed environments and strong communication.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the development of divisional strategies. Identifying tools to assess and track strategic opportunities. Providing end to end report development; interfacing between various internal business and technical or analytical teams to achieve goals and desired outcomes. Supporting a governance structure for the evaluation of strategic opportunities.

Required Job Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree and 5 years experience in strategic planning, market research, network management, or product development, in health care industry OR consulting OR Master/Professional Degree and 4 years of experience strategic planning, market research, network management, or product development in health care industry OR consulting OR 7 years of experience strategic planning, market research, network management, or product development in health care industry.
• Project management skills, including strong organization, prioritization and problem solving skills; strong oral, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to accept direction and feedback Experience with business analytics and information synthesis.
• Knowledge of strategic planning techniques and industry trends.
• Experience managing complex corporate projects in a matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated organization, prioritization, problem solving, communication skills including presentation and group facilitation experience.
• Experience interacting with staff/management across multiple departments at various levels in the organization; Verbal and written communication skills.
• Presentation and group facilitation experience.
• PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, with strong Excel skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications

• Master's Degree.
• Health insurance or healthcare industry experience supporting ACA and Commercial markets.
• Advanced knowledge of ACA and Commercial provider networks, key performance indicators, trends, and financial acumen.
• Experience developing or supporting ACA/commercial network strategy, network design, adequacy, and market initiatives.
• Experience digesting and solutioning for complex conceptual and operational problems.
• Candidates that possess an aptitude of analytical up and downstream thinking, information seeking, have an openness to learn, and are thorough and detail oriented.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan. This position may be performed remotely from anywhere within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Base Pay Range $69,800.00 - $125,900.00 Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
