Job summary

Accurate Personnel is seeking a Senior Distribution Center Manager in Sacramento, CA to oversee day-to-day DC operations and ensure alignment with site goals. Responsibilities

• Plan warehouse layout considering turnover, size, weight and stored items.
• Manage financial reporting for the warehouse.
• Design and implement production planning for the entire warehouse.
• Advise on care and preservation of items and methods for handling, storing, shipping stock.
• Study records and recommend actions for slow-moving or excess stock.
• Ensure stock records accuracy and stock level adequacy.
• Schedule inventories and oversee accuracy checks.
• Trace item histories and resolve discrepancies.
• Determine work procedures, assign duties, and maintain policy conformance.
• Standardize procedures to improve subordinates' efficiency.
• Maintain harmony and resolve grievances; manage 4–12 subordinate managers and 50–100 employees.
• Perform managerial duties: training, planning, directing, evaluating, rewarding, addressing complaints.

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Senior Distribution Center Manager to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This individual will be responsible for managing the day to day business operations of the distribution center in a manner consistent with the financial and operational goals set for the site and to oversee the proper administration of the operational plans designed and implemented for this site. The ideal candidate will possess good organizational skills, strong sense of teamwork, and much more listed below.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $45.67/hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plans layout of warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
• Manages the financial reporting of the warehouse.
• Designs, creates, and implements production planning for the entire warehouse.
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
• Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
• Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
• Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.Issues written and oral instructions.
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
• Adjusts errors and complaints.
• Manage 4-12 subordinate managers who manage departmental supervisors, who in turn will supervise a total of 50-100 employees in the various departments; responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units.
• Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, designing and implementing management and operational procedures and general problem resolution.
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
• Good organizational skills
