Job summary

Central Transport in the United States is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to join our growing LTL team. You will coordinate drivers, contractors, and terminal staff, ensuring safe, efficient operations and on-time shipments.

Ideal candidates have transportation experience, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of technology. A college degree is preferred but not required, and excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, cross docking or shipping/receiving environments.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Desire to surround customers with excellence in service.
• High aptitude for technology.
• Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Relaying critical information between drivers and vendors/Terminal Managers.
• Review and revise driver routes to increase efficiencies while monitoring workload.
• Be aware of freight that is in transit.
• Assist and report issues that drivers face on the road (e.g., flat tire).
• Ensure facility KPI goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Provide / support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.

Shift: 8:00am-6:00pm Monday -Friday Salary: $60,000-$75,000

Duties include, but are not limited to:
