We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Director of Technical Product Management to lead our team of product managers within our Cloud and Platform Engineering organization. This pivotal role focuses on driving the development and maintenance of our internal developer platforms, including public cloud enablement, Generative AI developer tools, and infrastructure platforms as managed services. You will partner with several key senior leaders spanning across enterprise technology teams, security, and leaders within the CIO organizations to execute our cloud and developer platform strategy drive adoption along the way. for the full product lifecycle management, with a technical focus, including strategy, design, development, management, and end of life of new, existing or acquisition products. Leverage market insights to understand market/customer needs as well as emerging technology developments and trends to identify new opportunities or make adjustments to current product offerings. Balances deep subject matter expertise in the product, business use cases and solid technical aptitude. Accountable for delivering product performance against expectations and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position, and optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs. Accountable to and/or own the P&L. Responsible for cross-functional stakeholder management to include but not limited to design, engineering, scrum teams, business leaders, etc., functioning as technical expert with a fluency in development concepts and modern development practices.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

  • Product Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the internal developer platform that aligns with the enterprise's objectives

  • Cohesive Developer Experience: Ensure that all platforms and technologies are seamlessly integrated to provide a cohesive and efficient developer experience for application teams building apps in the public cloud

  • Platform Development: Oversee the development and integration of foundational capabilities to support public cloud enablement, Generative AI tools, and infrastructure platforms as managed services

  • Metrics and Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators to measure the success and impact of the developer platform and associated technologies

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, cloud operations, and application teams or delegates within CIO technology teams, to ensure alignment, successful delivery, and adoption of platform capabilities

  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and push our developer community to adopt emerging capabilities as they become available (GitHub Copilot, etc.)

  • Designs, develops, and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Responsible - Industry thought leader

Required Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of experience in product management within enterprise technology and platforms organizations

  • 5+ years of experience with public cloud technologies, developer tools, and infrastructure platforms

  • 4+ years of experience leading and scaling product management teams

  • 3+ years of experience with developer platforms and the needs of application development teams



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Advanced certifications in cloud technologies or product management

  • 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and product development frameworks (Aha, Rally, GitHub, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience with regulatory and compliance requirements related to cloud environments and AI technologies

The salary range for this role is $150,200 to $288,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
