A leading company in the dental insurance sector is seeking a Sr. Director, People Business Partner to align HR strategies with business objectives. This role requires deep HR expertise and the ability to influence leaders through change. The successful candidate will drive performance and engagement across diverse functions, ensuring effective organizational design and workforce planning.
We are seeking a seasoned Sr.Director, People Business Partner (PBP) to join our People Team and serve as a trusted advisor to senior and operational leaders across the organization. In this role, you will play a critical part in aligning people strategies with business objectives in a fast-paced, highly regulated dental insurance environment.
This position requires a strong understanding of organizational dynamics, workforce planning, and employee relations, along with a demonstrated ability to influence and support leaders through change. The ideal candidate brings deep HR expertise and industry knowledge, with a focus on driving performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness across diverse business functions.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our People Team, you will:
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, aligning talent plans with business strategy across multiple functional areas.
Lead efforts in organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development, leveraging deep industry knowledge to anticipate business needs.
Advise leaders on employee relations issues, ensuring equitable, compliant, and values-driven outcomes.
Champion enterprise-wide initiatives such as performance enablement, goal setting, and leadership development.
Use HR data and insights to guide executive decision-making, identifying trends and risks in employee experience and retention.
Act as a change leader, supporting transformation initiatives and team effectiveness through coaching, communication, and planning.
Partner cross-functionally with People Team experts in Total Rewards, Talent Development, and Operations to deliver cohesive people strategies.
12+ years of progressive HR experience, with 7+ years in a consultative or business partner role—preferably in health or dental insurance, or other regulated industries.
Minimum 4-year Bachelor's degree in Human Resources,Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Strategic HR Acumen: Deep understanding of core people practices including talent planning, performance enablement, workforce planning, and organizational design.
Change Management: Experience supporting organizational change and transformation efforts, including communication and stakeholder alignment.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to use data, metrics, and insights to identify trends, assess risks, and make informed recommendations.
Collaboration and Relationship-Building: Demonstrated success building trusted relationships across functions and at all organizational levels.
Problem Solving: Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to resolve complex or ambiguous people challenges.
Project and Program Management: Capable of managing and delivering on multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
HR Systems and Tools: Proficiency in using HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, Paycom) and performance management systems. Familiarity with reporting and dashboard tools is a plus.
Confidentiality and Judgment: Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all interactions and decisions.
Employee Relations Expertise: Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in employee relations, investigations, and risk mitigation.
Business Acumen: Ability to understand business operations, goals, and drivers to align people strategies with enterprise priorities.
Influence and Coaching: Skilled in influencing leaders at all levels and coaching executives and managers to drive accountability and leadership effectiveness.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $225,000, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.
Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
