HistoSonics is a commercial-stage medtech company advancing the Edison® System, a novel non‑invasive sonic beam therapy based on histotripsy. Since receiving FDA De Novo grant for the non‑invasive destruction of liver tumors in 2023, the company has progressed beyond initial market entry into commercial expansion, reimbursement momentum, and ongoing clinical and pipeline development. In addition to its current liver tumor indication, HistoSonics is pursuing future indications across multiple applications including kidney, pancreas, prostate, neuro, women’s health, and other significant underserved human health areas, to realize the broader potential histotripsy across multiple disease states and medical specialties.
We offer an exciting work culture where cutting‑edge science meets real‑world application, and each team member’s contribution is important to our success in ensuring our physicians and their patients get what they need most.
The Senior Director, Payer Relations is a strategic leadership role responsible for setting and driving HistoSonics' national payer engagement strategy to advance coverage and physician payment, enabling patient access and commercial adoption of HistoSonics' histotripsy technology, with an initial focus on the liver indication. This leader serves as the senior payer strategy executive for HistoSonics, setting the direction that aligns provider and patient needs, clinical evidence, and economic value narratives to shape favorable coverage and reimbursement policy nationally. The Senior Director builds and leads a team of Payer Relations Managers, is accountable for the strategic relationships with providers, medical societies, and advocacy entities that support payer coverage, and partners at the executive level with field reimbursement, prior authorization, sales, and account management leadership, as well as externally with providers, medical societies legislative entities, and advocacy organizations. Working cross‑functionally with senior leadership across HistoSonics, this position is the organization's principal strategic authority on payer‑related issues.
