SimplePractice is seeking a Sr. Director of HR Business Partners to lead the HRBP function and partner directly with ELT members and leadership teams.

The role sits on the People Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief People Officer, and will guide org design, AI-enabled transformation, talent depth, and workforce planning. You will manage a small team of HRBPs across the business, shaping partnerships, talent reviews, and succession planning while ensuring equitable, scalable people practices

Qualifications

• 12+ years in HR, with at least 5 years as a senior HRBP or HR leader supporting ELT-level executives in a high-growth SaaS or tech company.
• Track record of org design and change management at ELT-1 level
• Experience partnering with leaders through AI-driven org transformation including workforce redesign and role evolution
• Ability to assess AI fluency as a leadership capability and integrate into talent reviews and succession planning
• Experience leading or developing a team of HRBPs and performance development
• Experience in matrixed, fast-moving environments

• Direct business partnership translating priorities into people strategies for ELT.
• Lead and evolve the HRBP model aligning with business strategy and growth priorities.
• Shape AI-enabled org transformation with CPO; diagnose roles and structures evolving with AI.
• Build workforce plans across build, buy, borrow and use data/AI insights.
• Run talent reviews with clear successors and calibrated performance.
• Partner with Total Rewards and Talent on compensation and performance cycles.
• Lead, coach and develop the HRBP team and build capability across the function.
