Qualifications

  • 7+ years leading data operations, EDI, integrations, or related functions in software/SaaS/healthcare tech.

  • Strong understanding of EDI, APIs, integrations, data exchange, and platforms to translate between business and tech.
  • Ability to lead customer- and partner-facing technical discussions with executive presence.
  • Experience developing operational strategies, performance measures, and scalable service models.
  • Experience cross-functionally with technical, product, implementation, account management, and partner teams.
  • Healthcare tech, supply chain, procure-to-pay, or healthcare data integrations preferred.
  • Familiarity with Boomi, MuleSoft, Redox, Mirth Connect, APIs, HL7, EDI, AS2, SFTP, XML, JSON, and web services.

Responsibilities

Summary: In this role, you will lead the strategy, performance, and operations of Envi’s Data, EDI, and Integration functions, ensure accurate and reliable data exchange while advancing Envi’s integration capabilities and partnerships. You will provide leadership across three distinct areas of responsibility: EDI administration and trading partner connectivity, customer data quality and delivery, and integrations with clinical, financial, and other third‑party platforms. You will serve as a key liaison between customers, partners, business teams, and technical resources to translate business needs into scalable solutions that support Envi’s broader strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the Data, EDI, and Integration organization, establishing clear priorities, performance expectations, accountability, talent development, and resource allocation across the functions.
  • Develop and execute the overall strategy for Data, EDI, and Integrations, aligning capabilities, resources, service models, and priorities with customer needs and Envi business objectives.
  • Provide leadership across technical and customer‑facing activities, translating complex integration and data requirements into clear business solutions and ensuring effective communication between customers, partners, and technical teams.
  • Establish meaningful performance measures and reporting that provide leadership visibility into data quality, EDI performance, integration delivery, backlog, capacity, customer impact, and operational effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scalability and efficiency through process improvement, standardization, technology, automation, and AI‑enabled capabilities.
  • EDI Administration Provide strategic and operational oversight of EDI administration, including trading partner onboarding, transaction management, connectivity, monitoring, issue resolution, and ongoing support.
  • Establish standards and best practices that promote reliable, scalable, and efficient EDI operations across customers, vendors, trading partners, and Envi systems.
  • Ensure effective prioritization and resolution of EDI issues while identifying recurring trends and opportunities to improve performance and customer experience.
  • Data Quality & Delivery Oversee processes for acquiring, validating, cleansing, formatting, and delivering customer data into Envi, establishing standards for data quality, accuracy, timeliness, and operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of data intake and delivery processes through standardization, automation, improved workflows, and effective use of technology.
  • Ensure resources and capacity are aligned with customer implementations, ongoing operational needs, and changing business priorities.
  • Integrations & Partnerships Lead Envi’s integration strategy and customer‑facing integration function, overseeing connectivity with clinical, financial, ERP, and other third‑party platforms and ensuring integration priorities align with customer and business needs.
  • Serve as a senior customer and partner‑facing leader for integration discussions, translating business requirements and technical considerations into clear implementation approaches, expectations, and solutions.
  • Develop and manage strategic integration partnerships that expand Envi’s connectivity capabilities, improve implementation options, and support the evolving needs of Envi customers.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for complex or high‑risk integrations and serves as a senior escalation point for customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Establish integration standards and scalable approaches in partnership with technical resources, ensuring appropriate documentation, support models, monitoring, and ongoing operational ownership.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership Partner across Envi, Vizient, customer IT organizations, vendors, and technology partners to coordinate data and integration priorities, resolve dependencies, and improve the end‑to‑end customer experience.
  • Represent Data, EDI, and Integration needs in Envi strategic and operational planning, bringing forward customer insights, technical considerations, risks, and opportunities that influence broader business priorities.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years’ experience leading data operations, EDI, integrations, technical services, or related functions within a software, SaaS, healthcare technology, or similarly complex environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical and operational teams and developing talent across differing areas of expertise.
  • Strong understanding of EDI, APIs, system integrations, data exchange, and integration platforms sufficient to effectively lead technical resources and translate between business and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead customer and partner‑facing technical discussions with strong executive presence, communication, problem‑solving, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience developing operational strategies, performance measures, process improvements, and scalable service models.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with technical, product, implementation, account management, customer, and external partner teams.
  • Experience supporting healthcare technology, supply chain, procure‑to‑pay, or healthcare data integrations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms and technologies such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Redox, Mirth Connect, APIs, HL7, EDI, AS2, SFTP, XML, JSON, and web services is desired.
  • Experience developing or managing technology and integration partnerships is preferred.
  • Experience leading automation, process modernization, or AI‑enabled operational improvement initiatives is desired.
Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00. This position is also incentive eligible.
