Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Mammography Department seeks an hourly Diagnostic Imaging Assistant Senior to support front desk operations at Evanston Hospital. The role handles patient check-in, scheduling, registration, and data entry in EPIC, with an emphasis on accurate documentation and courteous service.

The position is per diem/PRN, daytime hours with rotating weekends, at the Evanston location. Prior secretarial supervision and medical terminology knowledge are preferred, with CPR certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1–2 years of secretarial supervisory experience preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with word processing and computer software required; typing 25–35 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients entering the Mammography department and assist with issues.
• Schedule, check in, register, and verify patient information.
• Input patient data into the EPIC system with high accuracy.
• Assist with related secretarial duties and ensure courteous patient contact.
• Coordinate with doctors' offices and patients to obtain orders.
• Communicate with technical staff regularly.

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Full Time/Part Time:

PRN, per diem

Hours: Day shift:

Day shift 7-3:30, rotating weekends, varies

• Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs./ per 6-week schedule

What you will need:

• Education: High School degree or equivalent
• Certification: CPRcertification required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of prior secretarial supervisory experience and medical terminology preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with word processing and computer skills required; typing 25-35 wpm.

What you will do:

• Greet all patients coming into the Mammography department and assist with patient issues
• Schedule, check in, register, and verify information for patients
• Input patient information into the EPIC system with high accuracy
• Responsible for other related duties as requested, with an emphasis on proper documentation and courteous patient contact
• Contacts doctors' offices and patients as neededto obtain order
• Regular communication with technical staff
• Assisting with secretarial duties as needed.
