About The Role

We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position offering a base salary between $135,000 and $160,000, with bonus and equity opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing our infrastructure, streamlining deployments, and championing best practices across CI/CD, platform operations, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The ideal candidate is proactive, passionate about scalable systems, and thrives in a collaborative and agile environment.

Responsibilities

1. Enhance monitoring and observability systems, including Grafana, NewRelic, and Sentry
2. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve software delivery performance and scalability
3. Lead system reliability efforts and proactively identify performance issues
4. Design and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
5. Orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes and ECS
6. Optimize AWS cloud resources with a focus on security and cost-efficiency
7. Deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform or Pulumi
8. Implement infrastructure security best practices
9. Develop internal tools and improve DevOps processes

Required Qualifications

1. 5–8 years of experience in a senior DevOps role
2. Expertise with AWS and infrastructure as code (Terraform/Pulumi)
3. Strong application health triage and monitoring experience
4. Proficiency with CI/CD tools (especially GitLab)
5. Solid Kubernetes and container orchestration experience
6. Advanced scripting skills (Bash or equivalent)
7. Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud databases
8. Effective communicator with experience in Agile environments
9. Experience working remotely and collaborating via tools like Slack

Preferred Qualifications

1. AWS, Kubernetes, or Docker certifications
2. Experience with other cloud providers (Azure, GCP)
3. Exposure to observability tools like Datadog or Sentry
4. Background in fintech or startup environments

Education

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
