Job description

DUTIES: BorgWarner PDS (USA), Inc. seeks a Sr. Development Process Engineer based out of our office at 3800 Automation Ave., Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. This position does not require travel.

Apply systems and software experience to improve team proficiency in the BorgWarner engineering development process (Electronics Development Framework, "EDF") for projects. Serve as a change agent for organizational transformation of electrified drive systems and software teams to meet ASPICE compliance goals. Analyze systems and software process deployments, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions. Use systems and software expertise to achieve quality goals. Lead project teams in evolving processes, methods, and tools. Develop training curricula for the EDF process for engineering teams. Monitor process performance, create and maintain a quality dashboard for reporting, perform random compliance checks, and recommend process improvements to the Process, Methods, and Tools organization.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, with 60 months of experience in a relevant systems/software engineering role.

Required experience includes: deploying system and software engineering processes; training and coaching in V-cycle development processes; familiarity with ASPICE, ISO26262 (Functional Safety), and ISO21434 (Cybersecurity); and certification as an ASPICE Provisional Assessor or higher.
