ContiTech in Wahpeton, ND is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and automated machinery. You will help translate product requirements into practical equipment solutions and contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives.

Support the initiative, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and automated machinery to support new and existing products. Support the planning, implementation, and maintenance of related manufacturing engineering activities to meet plant targets. Initiate and implement action plans focused on the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Support the translation of production and product requirements into practical mechanical concepts, design layouts, and automated equipment solutions.
Assist with the design, development, modification, and implementation of manufacturing equipment and automated machinery following established engineering standards and lean manufacturing principles. Support industrialization activities focused on improving safety, ergonomics, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, equipment specifications, feasibility assessments, and cost data to support capital investments and process improvement initiatives.
Support engineering projects from concept through implementation, including planning, design documentation, testing, procurement activities, installation support, validation, production handoff, and continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to ensure equipment designs, layouts, and manufacturing solutions meet operational requirements and manufacturability objectives.
Assist with the installation, startup, validation, and production handoff of manufacturing equipment and automated systems in accordance with established standards and production requirements.
Maintain accurate records, technical drawings, equipment files, and project documentation for monitoring, analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
Support troubleshooting efforts by collecting data, identifying improvement opportunities, and assisting with implementation of corrective actions.
Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Design Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, CAD Design, or a related technical field required. Bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of technical experience.
3-7 years of experience supporting manufacturing, automation, machine design, or industrial equipment projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with CAD software and technical drawing standards.
Works safely and maintains a work area free of potential hazards; understands and follows company EHS policies and procedures.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and department operating procedures.
Demonstrated ability to perform assigned responsibilities accurately and consistently while meeting project timelines and expectations.
Ability to work effectively with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering personnel at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
Experience supporting equipment installations, troubleshooting activities, and technical documentation is preferred.
