Jabil is seeking a Sr. Design Engineering Project Manager – Energy & Infrastructure at our St. Petersburg, FL (Gandy Site) on-site.

The role requires leading product development through a phase-gate process, with a strong emphasis on energy storage, power modules, and building infrastructure systems. A mechanical or electrical engineering background and PMP are preferred. You will oversee budgets, schedules and risk mitigation while coordinating globally distributed teams and engaging customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; PMP preferred.
• 8+ years in product design or engineering project management.
• Experience with energy storage, power conversion, data-center infrastructure is preferred.

• Lead design projects from concept through validation, industrialization and manufacturing.
• Develop engineering and design proposals including scope, milestones, risks and costs.
• Coordinate global cross-functional teams and manage budgets, NRE and resource plans.

Our commitment extends beyond business success as we strive to build sustainable processes that minimize environmental impact and foster vibrant and diverse communities around the globe.Sr. Design Engineering Project Manager – Energy & InfrastructureBi-lingual in English/Chinese is preferredBuild Your Career with JabilWe challenge and empower you to make the most of your talents, working with outstanding colleagues from diverse backgrounds who share your drive and passion to help Jabil grow.Location: This role will be based on-site at the St. Petersburg, Florida – Gandy Site.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience with Energy & Infrastructure products , including BESS, power modules, power distribution, switchgear, HVAC systems, pumps, motor drives, smart metering, building access and device control related equipment.Proven experience leading product development projects through a phase-gate process , from concept, design, validation, industrialization, and manufacturing.Working knowledge of manufacturing processes , including SMT, ICT, FVT, HLA, and related manufacturing and test processes.Strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals , including BOM structures, material categories, sourcing processes, supplier management, and material cost management.Experience in developing engineering and design project proposals , including project scope, schedule, milestones, critical path, dependencies, deliverables, assumptions, risks, roles and responsibilities (RACI), resource allocation, engineering labor and non-labor NRE, product compliance and certification, manufacturing processes and costs, and product costs breakdowns.Experience managing project budgets, NRE, resource plans, forecasts, and financial performance and change management .Excellent customer and cross-functional communication skills , with the ability to document and communicate clearly, manage customer expectations, align stakeholders, and coordinate globally distributed teams.Strong engineering background with the ability to understand technical issues, facilitate cross-functional technical discussions, and drive teams toward timely solutions.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.PMP certification preferred.Eight or more years of work experience, with a significant proportion in product design.Project management experience in product design, including budget, schedule, and risk mitigation within a Quality Management System.Industry experience with projects involving energy storage, power conversion, and/or data-center infrastructure preferred.Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment preferred.An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.BE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
