TAS Energy Inc is seeking a Senior Design Checker to verify designer drawings and models against project requirements and industry standards. The role requires extensive hands‑on experience with mechanical, structural, electrical, and controls design in TAS products.
The candidate will review drawings, ensure accurate BOMs and callouts, validate tolerances, welds, voltages, and clearance, and contribute to department standards while following established design processes.
The Sr. Design Checker will provide verification of designer drawings and models to project requirements, TAS, and industry standards.
Advanced knowledge as a designer/checker in package/plant designs and layouts with broad knowledge of technical applications, maintenance, operation, and clearance constraints of structural, mechanical, controls, and electrical equipment systems. Knowledgeable of codes typically applicable to TAS equipment including NEC, IEC, ASME, AISC, AWS, UMC, OSHA, and building codes etc. A self‑starter and proficient designer/checker, with experience in mechanical, electrical, structural, and controls systems.
Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading. The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
