Job summary

BIICS, Inc. in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Senior DB2 Database Administrator to join our on-site team. You will manage daily DB2 for z/OS and related systems, monitor performance, and implement tuning and automation.

The ideal candidate has extensive DB2 for z/OS experience, strong SQL/COBOL skills, and a track record of maintaining high availability in complex environments. This role requires on-site presence in Tallahassee and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in computing.
• 12+ years combined experience in database administration for DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server 2008R2/2012, and Oracle 10g+.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management and database administration.
• Advanced knowledge of upgrading DB2 for z/OS.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS catalog maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS point-in-time recovery.
• Advanced knowledge of JCL.
• In-depth knowledge of the z/OS platform and related tools.
• In-depth knowledge of CA GEN model management and application object support.
• In-depth knowledge of ISPF, ASG Scheduler, COBOL, and z/OS monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning and infrastructure change management.

Responsibilities
