Qualifications

• 12+ years experience in database administration with DB2 for z/OS.
• Expertise in DB2 for z/OS application integration and performance management.
• Experience with upgrading and catalog maintenance in z/OS environments.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, COBOL, CICS, ISPF, and RACF.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational and database administration activities.

Job Title: DB2 DBA

Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site)

Job Duration: Contract through June + extensions

Job Tasks and Activities:

• Daily operational and database administration activities
• Plan, design, implement, support for database structures
• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation
• Perform SQL Code reviews
• Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff This resource may also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested

Required Experience:

The candidate must have at least 12 years experience in database administration with DB2 for z/OS

Preferred Experience:

• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management and data base administration
• Advanced knowledge of upgrading DB2 for z/OS
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS catalog maintenance
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS sub-system point in time recovery
• Advanced knowledge of JCL
• In depth knowledge of the z/OS integrated platform
• In depth knowledge of CA GEN model management and application object support
• In depth knowledge of ISPF
• In depth knowledge of the ASG Scheduler
