As a Database Solutions Architect, you will design comprehensive solution architectures based on AWS database services, working with technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Cassandra, and NoSQL platforms. You will support application migrations, develop proofs of concept, and help customers deploy data solutions such as OLTP and OLAP environments, influencing adoption of AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and other NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to SMB customers to advance AWS Database Services adoption.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop solutions for customer challenges.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, guiding cloud transformation and digital innovation.
• Lead architectural reviews, workshops, and industry events to promote best practices.
• Contribute to AWS thought leadership through blogs, white papers, and reference architectures.
• Educate customers on AWS data management solutions and optimize their environments.
• Gather customer feedback for AWS product teams and support urgent technical issues.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in databases, analytics, and AI technologies.

Travel up to 20% regionally within the US is expected.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years in relevant technology domains (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years in application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
• Deep experience with at least one relational database (Oracle, SQL Server, IBM Db2) or open-source database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB).

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure and database architecture and networking.
• Experience working with developer and end-user communities.
• 10+ years in IT development or consulting industries.
• Expertise in open-source databases and NoSQL technologies like Redis and MongoDB.
