Amazon has been investing in artificial intelligence for over 20 years, with many capabilities in our products driven by machine learning. Our recommendations engine, robotic route optimization, supply chain, forecasting, Alexa, Prime Air, and Amazon Go all utilize advanced ML and deep learning technologies. We have thousands of engineers dedicated to these fields, making it a core part of our heritage.

Within AWS, we focus on three layers of the AI stack: 1) Frameworks and Infrastructure (e.g., Apache MxNet, TensorFlow), 2) Machine Learning Platforms (e.g., Amazon SageMaker), and 3) API-driven Services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, Lex, Kendra, Transcribe, Comprehend, Rekognition).

We are looking for a Machine Learning Solutions Architect (ML SA) to be the SME for helping customers in the Americas design solutions using our ML services. You will work with customers across various industries to enable large-scale use cases, design ML pipelines, and promote AWS AI/ML platforms. You will also collaborate with field SAs, create white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and gather customer feedback to improve our services.

Ideal candidates will have deep technical experience with AI, ML, and deep learning, a strong background in mathematics and statistics, and familiarity with the GenAI ecosystem. You may work from locations such as San Jose, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, or Arlington, with travel up to 50% across the USA.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with customer development and data science teams to understand their needs and design solutions utilizing AWS AI/ML services.
• Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Service teams to drive adoption of Amazon SageMaker and related services for GenAI use cases.
• Share thought leadership through blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking at events.
• Act as a technical liaison to provide customer feedback for product improvements.
• Support the development of an internal community of GenAI subject matter experts in the Americas.

Qualifications

Basic:

• 8+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, or analytics.
• 3+ years in application/infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.

Preferred:

• 5+ years in IT development or consulting in software or internet industries.
• Experience with end-user or developer communities.
• Ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
• Experience architecting solutions on AWS.
