As a Database Solutions Architect, you will design comprehensive solutions based on AWS database services, engaging with customers to migrate and optimize their database environments, and promoting AWS database products like RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and others.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions for SMB customers to adopt AWS Database Services, including migration from on-premise databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or open-source platforms such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Cassandra.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to develop innovative solutions addressing customer challenges.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, leading architectural reviews, workshops, and technical deep dives.
• Develop proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and support application migrations to AWS.
• Promote best practices via blogs, whitepapers, and reference architectures.
• Present at industry events such as AWS re:Invent and AWS Summit.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in databases, analytics, and AI to help customers innovate.

Qualifications

Basic:

• 8+ years in technology domains like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, or networking.
• 3+ years in application/infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
• Deep experience with at least one relational database (Oracle, SQL Server, IBM Db2) or open-source databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB).

Preferred:

• 5+ years in infrastructure and database architecture, networking.
• Experience with developer/end-user communities.
• 10+ years in IT development or consulting in software or internet industries.
• Expertise with open-source databases and NoSQL technologies like Redis, MongoDB.
