Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a data scientist to build predictive models, design sampling and data cleaning specifications, and analyze data using Python, SQL, and BI tools. You will access data from multiple company systems, support strategic business analytics, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate insights into action.

In this role, you will work with Python, SQL, Power BI, and related technologies, communicating findings clearly to drive decisions across units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI and data visualization.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models and recommend data sampling and cleaning techniques.
• Analyze data using Python, R, Scala, Spark, Hadoop, or equivalent tools.
• Access and analyze data from multiple Company systems of record.
• Provide expert data analytics support to multiple business units.
• Lead projects to quantify Reliability Improvement investments and report historical trends.

Develop and recommend data sampling techniques, data collections, and data cleaning specifications and approaches.Analyze data using advanced analytics techniques using – Python, R, Scala, or equivalent Spark, Hadoop file system and othersAccess and analyze data sourced from various Company systems of record. Support the development of strategic business, marketing, and progProvide expert data and analytics support to multiple business units.Projects to quantify investments to Reliability Improvement impact; Reporting out on historical Reliability Trends; Prioritization of Areas needing grid hardening and rejuvenation; Stakeholder Collaboration across the organization.
