Job summary

NOV Inc. is seeking an experienced analytics professional in Houston to translate business data into predictive models, dashboards, and actionable insights. You will partner with cross-functional teams and leverage ERP, CRM, and macro-economic data to inform leadership decisions.

You will design, implement, and deploy machine learning and statistical models, maintain Power BI dashboards, and ensure data governance. This role emphasizes collaboration, data quality, and impactful business outcomes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

This role focuses on turning business data into predictive models, dashboards, and actionable insights by partnering with cross-functional teams and working with enterprise systems and external economic data.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver advanced analytics and machine learning models to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
• Integrate data from ERP, CRM, and macro-economic sources to produce actionable insights for leadership and functional teams.
• Design, implement, and deploy predictive, classification, clustering, and optimization models.
• Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to track key performance indicators.
• Perform data mining, statistical analysis, and visualizations to surface trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support adoption of analytics-driven process changes.
• Participate in data-governance initiatives to help ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.
• Document requirements, support change management, and assist with process-improvement efforts.
• Manage large-scale data processing workflows in Snowflake and help ensure reliability of cloud-based data infrastructure.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience, or equivalent education, in data science, analytics, or business analysis in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern analytics libraries used for machine learning and statistical modeling.
• Proven ability to build models that support revenue growth, cost reduction, and bottom-line improvement.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with process innovation, change management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Action-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, integration, and analytics.
• Expertise in Power BI for visualization, dashboard creation, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and CRM systems and large, multi-dimensional data sets.
