Entry level Data Scientist role for a self‑motivated individual passionate about innovation and cutting‑edge technology.

Qualifications

• Experience in SQL (e.g., HIVE, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and either Python or R for statistical application development.
• Experience in a Hadoop environment and/or statistical development tool (e.g., RapidMiner, Knime) is a plus.
• Develop and communicate deep understanding of client needs, perform analytical deep dives to identify problems, opportunities and actions required.
• Develop reproducible and deployable statistical applications on platforms such as R/Python/Spark using techniques such as regression, SVM, and neural networks.
• Implement processes that improve data quality.
• Conduct statistical analyses to develop strategies.
• Document all processes and research.
• Build new algorithms and train models.
• Execute projects involving analytics.
• Identify data patterns and trends.
• Analyze data to develop predictive models.
• Create, manage, and maintain analytically rigorous data.
• Possess a solid machine learning foundation.
• Proven record of successful statistical product delivery.
• Execute health insurance use cases via statistical applications such as R or Python.
• Efficiently access data via multiple vectors (e.g., NFS, FTP, SSH, SQL, Sqoop, Flume, Spark).
• Significant experience with SQL and working with large datasets.
• Work with cross‑functional teams (product management, engineering, senior executives) to rapidly execute and iterate.
• Note anomaly detection and run diagnostics.
• Perform graphical model analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
