Job summary

Watermark is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to advance analytical workflows and deliver decision-support products for senior DoD leaders. The role requires 10+ years in data-related fields, deep Palantir Foundry experience, and a Masters degree.

On-site work within CONUS with potential travel, and a 100k-300k compensation range. Ideal candidates will apply ML/AI techniques to extract insights from Mission Assurance data, develop dashboards, and support enterprise data platform capabilities for

• Deep hands-on experience developing applications in Palantir Foundry preferred.
• Background in data science, machine learning, or computational modeling preferred.
• Experience translating complex analytical outputs into decision-support products for senior DoD leaders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support analytical workflow enablement, sustainment, and scaling of data products across the Mission Assurance enterprise.
• Lead application of advanced analytical techniques, including AI/ML methods, to extract insights from Mission Assurance data.
• Utilize enterprise data platform capabilities to support analytics, automation, and decision-making.
• Support configuration and use of Government-directed data platform capabilities to enable data analysis, monitoring, reporting, and automation.
• Develop dashboards, monitoring views, and analytical models supporting senior leader decision-making.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Sr. Data Scientist

In this role you will…

• Support analytical workflow enablement, sustainment, and scaling of data products across the Mission Assurance enterprise
• Lead application of advanced analytical techniques, including artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, to extract insights from Mission Assurance data
• Utilize enterprise data platform capabilities to support analytics, automation, and decision-making
• Support configuration and use of Government-directed data platform capabilities to enable data analysis, monitoring, reporting, and automation
• Develop dashboards, monitoring views, and analytical models supporting senior leader decision-making
• Additional duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:

• Over 10 years in any career field, discipline, or industry
• Deep hands-on experience developing applications in Palantir Foundry preferred
• Background in data science, machine learning, or computational modeling preferred
• Experience translating complex analytical outputs into decision-support products for senior DoD leaders preferred

Education Requirements:

• Master's Degree (M.A. or M.S.) in any field

Certification Requirements:

• Palantir Foundry Application Developer Certification (required)

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Active/current Top Secret (TS) clearance on Day 1 of performance
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and TS/SCI with Caveats
• U.S. Citizenship required

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work 100% on-site within a Government SCIF during core duty hours
• CONUS travel may be required (coordinated with the Government at least 10 calendar days prior)
• OCONUS travel may be required (e.g., EUCOM/PACOM AOR support; coordinated at least 20 calendar days prior, with Theater Business Clearances)
• Local travel within the National Capital Region may be required
• Trip and After-Action Reports are required following each trip

Multiple considerations aretaken into accountwhendeterminingthe final salary/hour rate, including but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, education and certifications, relevant work experience, relatedskillsand competencies, as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
