Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field (information systems, engineering, CS, etc).
• 5–7+ years in Data/Systems analysis, data governance, or related roles.

• Strong Excel modeling and enterprise BI tooling experience.

Sr Data Analyst (Data Management)

Location: Plano, TX Fully Onsite (5 Days/Week) Employment Type: 12 + month contract to (hire + multi-extension capability) Rate: 63.00 /hr.

W2 Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to oversee company-wide data systems, support data governance, and partner with cross-functional teams to build a single source of truth across the organization. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and business strategy. You will translate complex business needs into technical system requirements, engineer reliable data pipelines and reporting architecture, perform root-cause analyses, and implement streamlined operational processes to solve critical business problems.

• Data Engineering: Hands-on experience structuring large datasets, maintaining data integrity, and integrating business intelligence infrastructure (Tableau, Data Cubes, SAP BI, or enterprise databases).

Key Responsibilities

• Data Systems & Governance Management: Manage company-wide data systems and related technical projects; drive data governance initiatives to ensure system-wide data integrity and consistency.
• Requirements Gathering & Solution Design: Collaborate with internal and external partner teams to define technical and functional requirements for new system developments, enhancements, and operational workflows.
• Root-Cause Analysis & Process Optimization: Conduct deep-dive data analyses to pinpoint operational friction, evaluate system performance, and deploy data-driven process improvements.
• Technical Documentation & Enablement: Draft, maintain, and update technical documentation, system architecture guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user manuals. Lead training sessions and technical briefings for end-users regarding system updates.
• Business Intelligence & Reporting: Design, build, and maintain complex analytical models and reporting solutions within Excel and enterprise BI tools (Tableau, SAP BI, Data Cubes) to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or a related technical field required. (MBA or related Master’s degree preferred).

Experience: 5 to 7+ years of progressive professional experience as a Data/Systems Analyst, Process Improvement Lead, or Technical Project Manager.

Technical & Professional Attributes

• Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and managing large-scale datasets while maintaining high standards of data quality and governance.
• Advanced proficiency in complex Excel modeling and enterprise BI/Data tools (such as Tableau, SAP BI, Data Cubes, or SQL-based databases).
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language for both working-level teams and executive leadership.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a strong capacity to manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Onsite & Travel Requirements

Ability to work 5 days onsite at the Plano, TX office location, with occasional domestic travel up to 10%.
