Sr. Data Architect - Healthcare - Contract to Hire (CTH)
The Sr. Data Architect role is a Contract to Hire position that plays a pivotal role in integrating diverse data sources into production-ready data models to support organizational goals. This role requires strong collaboration with both business and technical teams to align with business strategies and ensure requirements are met throughout the data and analytics lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and understand business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable data architecture plans.
- Design and implement multidimensional and tabular data models to support analytics initiatives.
- Define and enforce best practices for database design, ETL/ELT development, and optimization.
- Lead and oversee the development of ETL processes, ensuring adherence to optimization and scheduling standards.
- Create architectural designs to guide solution development across systems, applications, and processes.
- Document solution architecture and perform design and analysis to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate across teams to drive business impact through technical solutions, aligning infrastructure with business success metrics.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience or 11+ years of total experience.
- Proven experience in roles such as Data Architect, Data Scientist, or Data Analyst, with mandatory experience in healthcare or insurance services.
- Expertise in data warehousing, data architecture, data vault, and business intelligence.
- Cloud-based project implementation experience (Microsoft Azure, Snowflake).
- Knowledge of data pipelines and modern data platforms.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in enterprise data management technologies (ETL tools, SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, data lakes, and MDM solutions).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality, and security best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure BI and Analytics Stack and Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with data warehouse modeling methodologies.
Nice to Have:
- Predictive analytics, data mining, and machine learning experience.
- Familiarity with real-time and large-batch data pipelines.
- Knowledge of FHIR standards.
Required Competencies:
- Knowledge of payer industry-specific business processes.
- Strong organizational skills with leadership capabilities across diverse domains.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and foster team collaboration.
- Knowledge of product management, agile principles, and development methodologies.
Work Environment
- Remote work from home.
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday; specific hours depend on client needs.
Physical Demands
- Remain stationary for 50% of the time.
- Occasional movement inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
- Operate a computer and other office equipment regularly.
- Frequent communication with clients and coworkers, exchanging accurate information.
