- Seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of cloud data solutions, focusing on scalable, reliable, and optimized architectures that facilitate data-driven decision-making. You will shape data strategy, implement best practices, and ensure seamless integration of AWS data platforms like Redshift, Aurora, and others.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture Design:
- Lead the creation of cloud-native data architectures on AWS, utilizing services such as Redshift, Aurora, S3, Glue, and Athena.
- Define data management strategies and align data models with business goals.
- Design end-to-end data pipelines for ingesting, processing, storing, and analyzing large datasets.
- Cloud Data Infrastructure Management:
- Build and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure data infrastructure on AWS.
- Manage migration of on-premise data solutions to AWS with minimal operational impact.
- Optimize performance of data storage and queries in Redshift and Aurora.
- Data Integration and Processing:
- Develop data integration solutions for various systems, designing ETL/ELT workflows with AWS tools like Glue and Lambda.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data sources and design interfaces and APIs for integration.
- Governance and Security:
- Ensure data solutions adhere to security, governance, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Implement data privacy policies, access controls, encryption, and audit logging.
- Establish data lineage and metadata management strategies.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Guide internal teams on cloud-based data solutions and best practices.
- Work with business leaders to understand requirements and deliver suitable data solutions.
- Develop and enforce standards for AWS data engineering across the organization.
- Innovation and Optimization:
- Stay updated with AWS data technologies and trends, recommending improvements.
- Explore new AWS features for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Create detailed documentation of data architecture and configurations.
- Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing on AWS data technologies.
