The Reporting & Analytics team provides ongoing support and insight to external clients, as well as to the internal operational leadership team.The Senior Analyst must be able to review and analyze data, present conclusions in a logical and clear manner, and work effectively as part of a team, will provide and capture data and translate into information and reports and the transmission of this knowledge into actionable decisions.The Sr. Analyst may play a role in mentoring emerging leaders at Valeris.Essential Functions:Advanced custom reportingo Manage requirements gathering, specifications development, design and build of custom production-level reports for program ops, management, & client useo Make & own deliverable commitments (substance, format, and dev time), and provide timely communications re: status &/or delivery challenges. When conflicts arise, negotiate agreement on a path forwardCommunicate clearly on requested deliverables, provide timelines and recommendations based on best practices, and prioritize work by accounts as necessaryAdhere to all corporate policies and procedures governing access to and distribution of PII and other confidential data· Data & reporting expertiseo Maintain up-to-date familiarity with Valeris’ data sources/source systemso Serve as Subject Matter Expert to provide recommendations and expertise for data & reporting capabilities to assigned programs and/or clientsInvestigate data anomalies (identified through own or users’ activities), communicate detailed findings to the appropriate person or group, and act as a valued partner in solution findingo Work with programming environments, SQL, MS Excel, MicroStrategy, free-form SQL, Valeris’ CRM platforms, and other applicable software or BI toolsSystems & process improvementIdentify opportunities to develop & implement solutions that streamline operations of frequent tasksIdentify, define, and coordinate with other departments to connect our data and reporting in new and innovative ways to improve Valeris’ suite of products and services.LeadershipProvide leadership and training to other team members on fundamental data mining and report creation techniques and applicationso Assist program staff in the understanding & use of self-service reporting tools, and the use and interpretation of Valeris’ datao Be curious, unafraid to ask questions, and seek to expand your own knowledge of new tools, Valeris’ services+. We’re always growing and want you to be, tooo Perform additional duties as assigned by Manager· On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures governing access to confidential data· Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency· Conducts miscellaneous tasks or projects as assignedBachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar disciplineMust have 4+ years of client-facing experienceExperience interpreting data and presenting meaningful, client-ready business insights.Experience in data extraction, manipulation, analysis, reporting, and use of data visualization toolsUnderstanding of dimensional data modeling concepts and data warehousingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to elicit and fine-tune requirements and respond to/manage changesSolid technical writing skills.
