Job summary

CBRE seeks a Sr Data Analyst in Seattle to support business decisions through rigorous data research, analysis, and clear communication. The role focuses on transforming complex data into reporting, models, and strategies to improve real estate asset understanding and operations, on-site in Seattle, WA.

The candidate will coordinate data aggregation, design data structures, and collaborate with an agile team to deliver actionable insights and robust data quality across multiple sources.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (and/or a combination of experience and education considered in lieu of a degree).
• Master's degree preferred.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to understand possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data aggregation and curate complex reports using business intelligence and reporting applications.
• Conduct ad-hoc, strategic reviews of structured and unstructured data related to global real estate markets and real estate asset operations.
• Design data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardize information for actionable insights and reporting needs.
• Define complex data requirements and gather information using judgment and statistical tests.
• Use programming and evaluation tools, including open-source programs, to plan models and extract insights.
• Find opportunities to maximize data usage, applying modeling and optimization methods to develop new strategies and improve business performance.
• Create ad-hoc reporting based on review of existing data sources.
• Maintain data rigor by confirming the quality and integrity of new and existing data sources.
• Collaborate with an agile development team by providing recommendations and communications to enhance existing or new processes and programs.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques to complete assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
• Present detailed "data stories" and explain complex information clearly to many levels of the organization.
• Work within guidelines and policies, contributing to the quality of both your own work and the work of others.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values; may facilitate reaching agreement.
