Lead cybersecurity architecture for federal networks while coordinating with senior leaders to mature capabilities. This role requires TS/SCI clearance, polygraph willingness, and on-site work in Reston VA / DC area.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with leading technical delivery for large, complex orgs.
• 5+ years in network architecture and design.
• Experience with Zero Trust road maps and DoD/NIST standards.
• Led product selection: perimeter defense, zero trust, AI/analytics, IAM, secure DevOps.
• Able to work with senior leaders (CISO/CIO/CTO) to ideate and execute maturation.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to polygraph.
• Educational paths or 12+ years experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain CSSP-IS certification within 30 days and IAT Level III within 45 days.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design efforts of cybersecurity solutions and service offerings to protect federal networks.
  
• Coordinate with a team of thought leaders and experts to identify the right tools and techniques to meet IT needs and future goals.
  
• Guide network and systems design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to balance security and mission needs.
  
• Identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce attack surfaces.
  
• Lead cybersecurity technologies and domains including IoT, Cloud security, Automation and Orchestration, identity and access management, and machine learning.
  

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, including 5+ years of experience with leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations.
  
• 5+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
  
• Experience with architecting Zero Trust solutions, road maps, and capabilities in alignment with industry standards, including NIST 800-207 and DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture.
  
• Experience with leading product selection initiatives, including perimeter defense, zero trust, A&O, AI, analytics, secure DevOps, identity and access management, or network access control.
  
• Ability to work with and guide senior leaders, including CISO, CIO, and CTO, and executives to ideate, build, and execute cybersecurity capability maturation.
  
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  
• Associate’s degree and 10+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience supporting IT projects, or 12+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities in lieu of a degree.
  
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support (CSSP-IS) Certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND certification within 30 days of offer accept.
  
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification such as SecurityX (formerly CASP+), CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP certification within 45 days of CSSP-IS date (or offer accept if candidate already has CSSP-IS Cert) or 45 days after CSSP-IS if CSSP-IS is also needed.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a cybersecurity compliance, operations, or engineering leadership role.
  
• Experience with selecting, designing, and implementing security tools and capabilities for large, complex federal or commercial organizations.
  
• Ability to collaborate with project and proposal teams effectively to incorporate cybersecurity solutions and develop high-quality implementation plans and roadmaps.
  
• Ability to author technical documentation, whitepapers, and blogs on cybersecurity topics and concepts.
  
• Experience with innovative cybersecurity capabilities, including A&O, AI and machine learning, NGFW, and Big Data.
  
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
