Primary Purpose

The Cyber Security Engineer will execute tactical elements of the security strategy, acting as a liaison to architecture and operations teams to implement effective security solutions.

Primary Duties

• Provide cybersecurity guidance to leadership and stakeholders.
• Resolve incidents, vulnerability compliance, and implement security configurations.
• Collaborate with Vulnerability Management and application teams for secure transition.
• Assist with vulnerability mitigation, incident remediation, and change management.

Scope

The CSE works closely with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Utility IT/OT clients to implement security configurations, provide analytical recommendations, act as a senior technical lead, develop monitoring automation, and support remediation efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline, and 8+ years in cyber security.
• At least 5-8 years of security engineering experience.
• Knowledge of encryption algorithms, database systems, embedded systems, and operating systems.
• Experience with IT and OT security principles, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and change management.
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in cyber security or related area.
• Relevant security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, etc.).
• Hands‑on expertise in operating systems, networking, mobility, cryptography, and network security engineering.
• Strong scripting and programming skills.
• Experience with Industrial Control Systems and SCADA environments.
