Job description

As a Senior Customer Solutions Engineer, you will support business development and growth for Instrumentation & Control Systems within the Reactor & Special Systems portfolio. Your responsibilities will include facilitating activities such as cost estimation, risk analysis, technical descriptions, project scheduling, compliance matrix development, and project cash flow management, collaborating with technical subject matter experts.


You will report to the Customer Solutions Manager of our Reactor and Special Systems group. Ideally, this role is based in Pittsburgh, PA. For candidates in the Pittsburgh region, the position involves a mobile work arrangement, with 2-3 days on-site at our Cranberry Township location. We are also open to remote work arrangements across the United States.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze customer requests and requirements to develop unique and competitive solutions.
  2. Gather market intelligence to guide product development and proactively suggest ideas to meet future customer needs.
  3. Collaborate with Sales Teams and Engineering organizations to develop strategies and solutions addressing customer requirements.
  4. Coordinate offer development by working with engineering teams to determine labor and material costs and activity durations.
  5. Support the sales team in finalizing and issuing offer letters.
  6. Participate in technical and commercial meetings with customers.
  7. Develop and deliver presentations to customers and partners.
  8. Report on specific product opportunities, including prioritization and closure strategies.
  9. Contribute to resource planning and financial forecasting.
  10. Facilitate handling of emergent customer issues and review lessons learned.
  11. Attend industry conferences to build and maintain customer relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Power BI
